We are looking for an experienced Quality and Safeguards Officer based in Bankstown, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that TLC is compliant with all relevant legislations to the industry.

They will essentially be working with all teams and stakeholders to develop and implement plans to ensure compliance for the NDIS audit. In this role you will be:

  • Reviewing the NDIS Quality and Safeguards updates to identify gaps across current policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the senior management team to establish processes and to update and create policies
  • Structuring projects and framework around internal NDIS Audit readiness
  • Conduct Background Checks
  • analyse information extracted from TLC's CRM system.
  • help organise trainings around various aspects, and liaise with colleges to outsource trainings.
  • maintain registers for incidents, risks and continuous improvement, to ensure that they are actioned.

Skills and personality

  • Extremely organised, switched on person who can project manage and structure their workflow
  • Is prepared to run trainings and potentially inductions.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Data Analytical skills
  • A flexible team player who enjoys working in a busy changing environment
  • Someone with excellent communication skills and a great sense of humour

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A comprehensive understanding of quality and risk management principles, frameworks and methodology
  • Quality administrative experience ideally within the community / disability services sector
  • Demonstrated experience in document writing and document management systems
  • Strong project and time management
  • Demonstrated experience in accreditation processes, including coordinating internal audits and preparation of relevant documentation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Guidelines would be highly desirable, as well as the Aged Care Quality and Safety guidelines.
  • Has a background in HR related regulations, and Fair Work.
  • Hold a current WWCC and willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
  • Has completed the COVID-19 infection control module
  • has completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
